Production Assistant: Thomas Sedgwick
West coast meets east coast at Venezie Sporting Goods!
We want to officially welcome Thomas Sedgwick to our talented team! Hailing from the large city of Walnut Creek, California, where he was born and lived at for two years, Thomas eventually made his way to the small town of Ellwood City and has been here ever since. While attending Lincoln High School, he also went on to attend the Lawrence Country Career & Tech Center for Commercial Arts.
While he has only been a part of the Venezie team for almost 3 months, his skill set speaks so much more. It is always our hope, regardless of our field, that we are always learning and growing in our job. Thomas does just this, and his ability to quickly learn and apply even the most precise tasks makes him an outstanding employee, but even more importantly, an outstanding and dependable teammate.
Creating custom apparel through silk screening has presented him with many different challenges behind the scenes. Manager, Vanessa Venezie, recalls Thomas’s strong work ethic always shining through in the end results.
He was so eager to do more than a 1-color print job and when presented a challenge, he accepted and his print quality met our high standards; so we were very excited for him to accomplish that.” ~ Venezie
What is exciting about working with silk screen orders is that Thomas sees a lot of the big orders come through the store. Since joining the team only a short while ago, he has yet to pinpoint his favorite pieces, but that is sure to change soon!
I feel like starting at such a busy time in the season is going to be a help for me this time next year – where I hope to have several memorable pieces!
In his down time away from creating clothing masterpieces, he is creating masterpieces in the kitchen. You can always find him cooking or constantly learning about new dishes to conjure up! This seems only fitting since he has also been a part time cook at Vinny’s Restaurant and Pizzeria the past several years!
Venezie’s wouldn’t be what it is without hard workers like Thomas, and we are very lucky and excited to have him working so diligently behind the scenes beside us!
