Production Manager: Kory Ripper

GET TO KNOW YOUR NEIGHBORS, TRUST US!  Kory lived not far from our VP of Operations, Vanessa Venezie.  They exchanged words a few times before even knowing what each other did while Kory would be walking his dog.  As time went on, it was discovered the Kory was very much into screen printing, graphic design, and signs!  Needless to say, the interview happened in the front yard.  The rest is history.

Let us introduce you to our newest Production Assistant, Kory Ripper.  Kory grew up in Evans City and moved to Ellwood City about a year ago with his wife Ashley and their dog, Harley.

You may have seen Kory running the bridges of Ellwood in his free time.  Once he gets back from running, he likes to relax, Netflix, and chill as he loves indulging in movies.

California University of Pennsylvania is where Kory developed his love for design.  He earned his B.S in Visual Communication there in 2009.  Prior to Venezie Sporting Goods, he worked as a screen printer, designer, and vehicle wrap and decal installer.

Even though Kory is new to us he fits right in and isn’t afraid to bring his knowledge to the forefront offering advice and helping to implement new processes and procedures to make our products a step above the rest!

Kory said, “I love working at Venezie’s because we work together as a team when big jobs need done.” That means so much to all of us because we strive to have a team environment always.

The Ellwood City Chamber of Commerce held the Ugly Sweater 5K and Fun Run this past December and Kory lucked out being able to print the job.  There were a lot of placements which he tackled with ease.  He said this was his most memorable because it meant a lot to him printing a job that went right alongside one of his favorite hobbies which as you know is running!  “It was a big job around Christmas, being a runner myself, I was glad I could print the shirts and contribute to a local organization,” he explained.

Thank you, Kory, for taking a leap with us and joining in on all our fun.  Just please, do not run away any time soon – we are so glad to have you!
